Resurrect

Resurrect. The return to life again after being dead. Two kinds of resurrection are mentioned in the Bible. One is the kind Jesus gave to Lazarus when Jesus brought him back from the grave after being dead four days. Jesus also raised the daughter of Jairus and the son of the widow of Nain from death. All of these people came back to the usual kind of physical life. And they all died again at the end of their earthly lives. Old Testament prophets like Elijah and Elisha also raised people from the dead.

The Bible promises that all Christians will be resurrected from the dead at some point in the future. Our new bodies will not be like our old bodies. They will be cool, amazing bodies that will never wear out. This is the kind of body Jesus had at His resurrection. In this final resurrection, God’s people will live forever with Him, while those who rejected Him will be forever separated from God.
