Son of Man

Jesus’s favorite name for Himself. It is used over seventy times in the Gospels. With this term, Jesus identified Himself as a true man as well as being the Son of God. He often spoke of Himself this way when talking about the need to suffer and to give His life for the sins of all people. The Old Testament prophet Ezekiel also was called “son of man.”
