Treasury

A place where valuable things are kept or placed. When King Hezekiah showed a group of Babylonian ambassadors his treasury, the prophet Isaiah predicted that Hezekiah’s treasures would one day be taken away. In the temple where Jesus worshipped, tithes and taxes were paid at the treasury, or collection box. Jesus once sat near the treasury as He watched a poor widow bring her offering.
