Uriah

The Hittite husband of Bathsheba and a loyal soldier in King David’s army. David schemed to have Uriah put to death in order to marry Bathsheba. David told the commander of his army to put Uriah in the front lines, where he would likely be killed. Uriah was killed, and David later married Bathsheba, but he was punished by God for his sin.
