Wisdom

Learning, skills, common sense, and good judgment. A skill such as weaving or building was considered wisdom. Some parts of the Old Testament are called Wisdom Literature. They include Proverbs; Ecclesiastes; Job; and Psalms 19, 37, 104, 107, and 147–148. The Old Testament book of Proverbs applies wisdom to daily life situations such as raising children, handling money, telling the truth, and controlling anger. In Proverbs 8, wisdom is described as a woman who invites people to listen to her wisdom and live by it.

God is the source of wisdom. In the beginning of his reign, King Solomon asked God for wisdom, and God gave it to him. Solomon became known as the wisest king on earth. Job told some examples of the wisdom of God. Following God’s commands is a sign of wisdom. If you need wisdom, you can ask God for it.
