Bathsheba

A beautiful woman who was married to Uriah the Hittite and lived near King David’s palace. Her sin with David caused family problems for David for the rest of his life. Bathsheba’s first child with David died, but they had four more sons, one of whom was Solomon.

Bears Bears are mentioned several times in the Old Testament, always as fierce, threatening animals. They were probably Syrian brown bears, which are still found in modern Lebanon. David is said to have fought and killed a bear while guarding his sheep. When teens threatened and made fun of the prophet Elisha, two bears mauled forty-two of them.
