Cornelius

A centurion (a commander of one hundred men) in the Roman army stationed at Caesarea. He prayed to God and gave money to the poor. God told Cornelius in a vision to send men to the house of Simon the tanner in the city of Joppa and to ask for a man named Peter. Cornelius did as he was told. Peter visited Cornelius’s home, where he told Cornelius and his family about Jesus and later baptized everyone.
