Mount Hermon

The tallest mountain in northern Israel. It is the source of the streams that become the Jordan River. It is snowcapped most of the year and is one of the most beautiful sights in the area. Some Bible scholars believe that Jesus’s transfiguration took place here or on Mount Tabor.
