Rebel/Rebellion

Opposition to someone in authority. Korah led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron. God punished Korah, his followers, and the people of Israel who sided with them. During the time of the judges, the people of Israel regularly rebelled against the Lord and were conquered by their enemies as a result. When Moses and Aaron sent spies to look over the land of Canaan, the people of Israel rebelled against the Lord by believing the bad report of ten of the spies.
