Sin/Disobedience

Any act or thought that goes against God and His will. When we sin, we sin against God, who is perfect. Sin separates us from God. Every person beginning with Adam has sinned. The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God. God knew that it’s impossible for us to get rid of our sin or our guilt alone. But because He wants us to be free to love Him and be friends with Him, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so the penalty of our sin can be removed. There is one sin God won’t forgive. Jesus said, “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin” (Mark 3:29 niv). This means a person rejects God by claiming that God’s power is evil. When a person rejects God and the forgiveness He offers, his sin can’t be forgiven.
