Righteous/Righteousness

Right and lined up with God’s will. Job and Noah were considered righteous men, but they weren’t perfect.

In the Old Testament, God gave commands like the Ten Commandments that He expected people to follow. But no person except Jesus has ever perfectly obeyed every one of God’s laws. We all choose to sin at times, but God has made it possible for us to share in His righteousness. Jesus, the only perfect man who ever lived, died for our sins. When we accept His death in our behalf, God enables us to live according to His will.
