Lord’s Supper/Communion

A special meal to remember Jesus’s death and resurrection. As Jesus ate His last meal with His disciples, He took bread, broke it into pieces, and told His disciples to eat it. This was a way of saying that His body would soon be broken on the cross. Then He held up a cup of wine and proclaimed that it was the blood He would soon shed on the cross. Christians through the centuries have continued to take part in the Lord’s Supper.
