Adam and Eve
The first people God created. The name Adam means “all people” or “mankind,” and Eve means “life.” God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, but He made Eve from one of Adam’s ribs. She was to be his closest companion. God told Adam and Eve to take care of all He had created.
The Bible does not say how long Adam and Eve lived in the beautiful garden before they ate the fruit of a tree they were forbidden to eat. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they had to leave the garden of Eden. After Adam and Eve left the garden of Eden, they had many children, including Abel, Cain, and Seth. Adam was 912 years old when he died.
